What is NLP?

NLP was initially named and developed by Drs Richard Bandler and John Grinder in the seventies after studying some of the most effective therapists of our time. Since then some of its applications have been integrated into all areas of business and educational systems throughout the world. Leaving aside all the commercial uses that NLP can been used for, our course mainly focuses on its life changing skills and its application in the field of therapy and coaching.

Neuro = the brain and nervous system
Linguistic = verbal and non-verbal communication
Programming = how you've learned to behave

As Richard Bandler states "It's about education and teaching people to run their own brains".  Simply put, NLP - Neuro-Linguistic Programming - is understanding how you, as an individual, make sense of your world and also how you make it the way you want it to be. It gives you an understanding of how you learn, think and behave and gives you the ability to make choices in how you think and feel.
